Information we do not collect

We do not ask for an account, a name, an email address or a payment method to use the downloader. There is nothing to sign up for.

We do not save the links you paste to a database, and we do not attach them to you. A link is used to fetch the file list, then discarded.

Files you download

Files are streamed from the source platform through our server to your browser and are never written to storage. We hold no library, no cache and no backup of downloaded media.

Technical logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs, which can include an IP address, a timestamp, a user agent and an error message. These are used only to keep the service running and to investigate abuse, and they are rotated automatically.

We do not run advertising networks, cross site trackers or fingerprinting scripts on this site.

Third parties

To read a link we contact the platform that hosts it, and a resolver service that returns the available file list. That request necessarily includes the link itself. We do not share anything else with them.

The source platform serves the media directly, so its own terms and privacy notices apply to that content.

Browser extension

The SaveClipX browser extension reads the address of the page you are on only when you ask it to save something, so it can hand that link to the site. It never reads your messages, your account details or the pages you simply browse past.

Recent links and your saved preferences stay inside your own browser storage and are never uploaded. The extension sends a random install identifier with an anonymous counter so we can see how many saves happen, with no link, no handle and no personal detail attached.

Dubbing, subtitles and meeting notes send only the audio you start yourself, processed on the fly and kept nowhere afterwards. The extension shows no advertising, injects nothing into pages beyond its own save button, and sells no data to anyone.

Cookies and measurement

SaveClipX sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross site ad networks. Storage in your own browser is limited to your language choice and similar preferences.

We use standard, aggregated website measurement, Google Analytics and a privacy focused product analytics service, to count visits and see which tools people use. These record page views and coarse location, not the links you paste and not an account tied to you.

Your rights and contact

Because we do not hold personal accounts or download histories, there is generally no personal data of yours to export or erase. If you believe we hold something about you, write to saveclipx@zohomail.com and we will look into it.
