About SaveClipX
SaveClipX is a free web tool that turns a public social media link into a file you can keep. It runs entirely in your browser and on a thin server that passes bytes along without ever writing them to disk.

What we set out to fix
Most downloader sites are a maze of pop ups, fake download buttons, redirects and prompts to install something. We wanted the opposite, one paste box, a clear list of files and nothing between you and the save dialog.
SaveClipX is an all around downloader. Sixteen networks have their own page and their own tuned reader, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, Pinterest, Bilibili, Reddit, Douyin, Threads, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Rumble, Tumblr, Dailymotion and Vimeo, each with step by step guides for the tasks people ask about most.
Any other public media link works in the same box. Over a hundred further sites are covered by a general reader, and direct file links, mp4, webm, mov, mp3, m4a, wav, jpg, png and gif, along with Google Drive share links, save straight through as well.
How it works
When you paste a link, our server asks the platform for the list of files that the post makes publicly available. You pick one, and the file is streamed from the source through our server to your device in a single pass.
Nothing is cached, queued or archived. Once the last byte reaches you, the connection closes and no copy remains anywhere on our side.
The problem and our solution
The problem: saving a public video should take one paste and one click, yet most tools charge you in fake buttons, popup tabs, installs, a quiet drop to 720p, and a copy of your video left on their own disk. Anything beyond fetching a file, the words, a translation, a smaller version, a clean frame, sends you off to another site entirely.
Our solution: one box for sixteen platforms, every available stream listed and sorted highest first, files passed through without re encoding, and nothing written to disk on our side. No account, so no link history exists to store or lose.
Everything you might do next lives here too: transcripts in 75 languages, dubbing into another language, MP3 and MP4 conversion, compression, watermark removal, meeting notes and a bulk downloader. All of it in six languages, written natively rather than machine translated.
What we will not do: private accounts, paywalls and member only posts stay out of reach, and we keep no library of other people's videos. That single decision is what keeps this a tool rather than a host. The full reasoning is written up in our blog post on the problem SaveClipX solves.
What we ask of you
Only download content you have the right to keep. Personal, offline viewing of a public post is usually fine, republishing someone else's work is usually not. The rules of the original platform still apply to anything you save.
