The page listens through your mic and the transcript grows line by line while you speak, in whatever language is spoken. Nothing is typed and nothing is stored.

When you stop, the talk becomes a short summary, the key points, and action items you can copy, download as text, or download as Markdown.
Speech to text in the extension
Click the SaveClipX icon in the toolbar and the Tools list opens. The first row reads Speech to text with a mic icon, so it sits where you already look.
It keeps listening through the meeting
Start it in any browser meeting and it captures the tab plus your mic. The row shows Listening with a timer, recording continues with the popup closed, and the notes refresh as the meeting runs.
How to convert speech to text
Pick record to transcribe live from your microphone, upload to convert a recording you already have, or paste a link to pull the speech out of a video.
Leave the spoken language on automatic and it detects what is being said, or set it when you already know, which helps with heavy accents and code switching.
The transcript builds while you talk, in short windows, so you can read along instead of waiting for the end.
Meeting transcription and automatic meeting summary
Every session ends with notes written from the transcript: a short summary paragraph, the key points, anything that was decided, and action items with owners where a name was actually spoken.
Notes are editable on the page, so you can tidy a line before you copy it or download it as text or Markdown.
With the SaveClipX browser extension you can also capture a browser meeting, Google Meet, Teams web, Zoom web or a Slack huddle, from the Tools section of the extension popup, and send the notes here to finish them.
Speech to text in any language
The speech side recognises dozens of languages automatically, so a meeting in Spanish, Hindi, Indonesian or Yoruba transcribes in that language rather than being forced into English.
The notes language is separate. Keep the transcript exactly as spoken and still ask for the summary in another language, which is useful when the notes go to a team that does not share the meeting language.
Dictation to text
The same recorder works for dictation. Talk a draft out loud, stop, then copy the text straight into a document.
Long sessions keep running because the tab is held awake, so a one hour meeting does not stall when you switch away.
Privacy first
Audio is sent in short windows, read once, and dropped. Nothing about the recording is written to a database and nothing is kept after the page closes.

How long can a recording be?
Live sessions can run for hours because audio is sent in short windows. Uploads are capped at 24MB, so export the audio only for a long meeting.
