How to download TikTok videos without a watermark

The watermark is added when TikTok builds the shared copy of a clip. The original upload does not carry it, so the trick is asking for that file instead of the one the share sheet hands you. Paste any public TikTok link below and pick the clean MP4.

Why saved TikToks usually have a watermark

When you use Save video inside the TikTok app, the app renders a fresh copy with the bouncing username and logo burned into the frame. That copy is what gets written to your camera roll, and once it is baked in there is no clean way to take it back out.

Cropping the corners does not help either, because the watermark moves around the frame on purpose. Cropping tightly enough to lose it also loses a good part of the picture.

Save a TikTok without a watermark on iPhone

Open the video, tap Share, then Copy link. Come back to this page in Safari, paste the link in the box above and press Download.

Choose the MP4 marked no watermark. Safari asks where to put the file, pick Files or Photos and the clean copy lands there in a few seconds.

Save a TikTok without a watermark on Android

Tap Share, then Copy link, and paste it into the box above in Chrome. Pick the no watermark MP4 and the file goes straight into your Downloads folder.

If your browser asks for permission to save files, allow it once and every later download goes through without a prompt.

Save a TikTok on desktop

Copy the video URL from your browser address bar while the TikTok is open, paste it above and press Download. The clean MP4 downloads like any other file.

Desktop is the easiest place to grab several clips in a row, since you can keep this page in one tab and TikTok in another.

Keeping the quality intact

The clean file is the version TikTok itself serves, so nothing is re-encoded on the way to you. What you get is as sharp as the upload allows.

If a clip looks soft, that is usually because the creator uploaded a compressed file or filmed at a low resolution. No downloader can add detail that was never recorded.

Questions people ask

Is it legal to remove a TikTok watermark?

Saving a public video for personal use is generally fine. Reposting someone else's clip as your own, or using it commercially without permission, is not. Credit the creator and ask before you reuse.

Does the creator get notified?

No. Nothing is sent to them and the view count is not affected by saving a copy.

Can I save the sound only?

Yes, switch to the Audio tab in the results and download the MP3.

Do I need an app or extension?

No. Everything runs in the browser you already have, on any device.

Do you keep a copy of the video?

No. The file streams from the source straight to your device and nothing is written to our storage.
