YouTube stores video and audio as separate streams above 720p, which is why other sites quietly cap you at 720. We list the real ladder and mux the streams back together when you pick a higher rung.

Why a YouTube download sometimes fails
It says the video is age restricted
YouTube requires a signed in adult account for those, and we do not hold sessions, so those uploads cannot be fetched.
Download works but there is no sound
That happens when a muxing step is interrupted. Try the 720p option, which ships as one combined file with audio already inside.
A live stream refuses to resolve
