Why people use it
Files stream straight to your device. We keep no copy of the video or the link.
No sign up, no email, no tracking pixel. Paste a link and save the file.
Every tool on the site is free to use, with no daily download cap.
We pick the highest stream the source offers, up to 4K where it exists.
One paste, one click. No queues, no waiting rooms, no forced ads between steps.
Runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop. Nothing to install.
Formats you can convert to
Video goes out as MP4 with H.264 for maximum compatibility, WEBM with VP9 for the web, MOV for Apple editors, or MKV when you want a container that holds anything.
Audio only exports give you MP3 at 192kbps, M4A for Apple devices, or WAV when you need an uncompressed file for editing.
GIF is there for short reaction clips. It keeps the first fifteen seconds at twelve frames a second, which is the sweet spot between smooth and enormous.
How the conversion works
Pick a file, choose the output, press convert. The first run downloads the video engine into the tab, which takes a moment, and every conversion after that starts straight away.
The progress bar follows the real encode, so you always know how far along a long file is.
Which format should you pick
MP4 is the safe answer for sharing, uploading or sending to someone who will open it on a phone.
WEBM is smaller at the same quality and is the right choice for a background video on a website.
Choose MP3 when you only care about the sound, a podcast clip or an interview you want to listen to rather than watch.
Private by design
Most online converters upload your file, convert it on their machines and keep it for a while afterwards. This one does not, because the encoder runs inside your browser tab.
That means personal footage, client work and anything under an agreement stays on your device from start to finish.
Questions people ask
Is the video converter free?
Yes, with no account and no cap on how many files you convert.
Can I convert a video to MP3?
Yes. Choose the MP3 option and the audio track is written out on its own at 192kbps.
Is there a file size limit?
Two gigabytes per file. Very long clips depend on your device, since the encoding happens locally.
Does converting reduce the quality?
Any re-encode loses a little. The presets are tuned to keep the change invisible at normal viewing size.
Do you keep my file?
No. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing for us to keep.
