Instagram story downloader

Stories vanish after a day and highlights are awkward to save from the app. Type a public username to pull what is live right now, or paste a story or highlight link directly.

Public accounts only. A private account cannot be read without following it, and we never ask you to sign in.

Why people use it

Nothing is stored

Files stream straight to your device. We keep no copy of the video or the link.

No account needed

No sign up, no email, no tracking pixel. Paste a link and save the file.

Free, with no limit

Every tool on the site is free to use, with no daily download cap.

Original quality

We pick the highest stream the source offers, up to 4K where it exists.

Built for speed

One paste, one click. No queues, no waiting rooms, no forced ads between steps.

Works everywhere

Runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet and desktop. Nothing to install.

Save someone's current stories

Type the username without the @ and press Get stories. Every story frame that is live at that moment is listed, photos under the Photos tab and clips under Video.

Stories expire 24 hours after posting. Once a frame is gone from Instagram it is gone everywhere, so there is nothing left for any tool to fetch.

Save a highlight

Highlights are stories the account chose to keep. Open the highlight, use the three dots and Copy link, then paste that whole address into the box instead of a username.

A highlight link resolves to the frames inside it, so you can pick the one you actually wanted rather than saving the whole reel.

Are you anonymous

Yes. Nothing here signs in as you, so your name never enters the viewer list for that story. The account owner sees no trace of the download.

That also sets the limit: because no account is used, only public profiles can be read. A private account's stories are not reachable without following it.

Using someone else's story

Keeping a copy for yourself, or saving your own stories before they expire, is ordinary use. Reposting another person's story without credit or permission is not, and some of what people share to stories was never meant to travel.

Questions people ask

Will they know I saved their story?

No. We never sign in as you, so you do not appear in the story viewer list and nothing is reported to the account.

Can I download stories from a private account?

No. Private content is only visible to approved followers and we do not use an account to reach it.

Can I get an expired story?

No. Instagram deletes stories after 24 hours unless the owner saved them as a highlight.

Do highlights work?

Yes. Paste the highlight link instead of a username and the frames inside it are listed.

Does this work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. It runs in the browser you already have, with no app to install.
